Be sure to call your mental health insurance number to obtain: preauthorization, deductible information (if applicable) , copay/co-insurance amount/session, and information about how many sessions you can obtain per year.
For Private Pay clients, I am happy to provide a receipt for services rendered that you can submit for HSA (health savings account), cafeteria/flex plan reimbursement or for reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits (please call your behavioral health carrier to check benefits for Out-of-Network, Outpatient Mental Health coverage information).
I believe that deep personal transformation is best achieved when you know that your privacy is safe and your that personal information stays with me alone (with the exceptions required by HIPAA law). However, for many, having personal information available to insurance companies will not be a privacy issue of concern. If I am not in-network with your behavioral health insurance program, I will provide the necessary receipts for you to submit for reimbursement.
