Meet the Gate Reduced Fee Clinic Staff (LPC-interns and Full LPC's available)

The Reduced Fee Clinic is primarily staffed by LPC-interns who are earning their 3000 post-graduate hours of supervised experience. Fully licensed counselors (LPC) also provide staffing to the clinic.

Each intern is under my direct supervision and has been hand selected from a large group of potential applicants each year (I typically accept no more than 3-5 interns). LPC-Interns have completed their graduate studies and have earned Masters degrees from fully-accredited institutions and have been accepted by the State of Texas as licensed professional counselors at the intern level, meaning that they are prepared to provide high level mental health care, under the supervision of a Board approved supervisor for 3000 hours.

As per Board rules, if you are seeing an LPC-intern, payment must be made out to the Supervisor (Jonathan F. Anderson or the GATE), but your LPC Intern will receive reimbursement by The Gate.

You can expect that should you be assigned an LPC intern as your counselor, that they will be consulting with me on a weekly basis about your case to ensure the highest standard of care is maintained.j
